How to copy sample pages to your workspace

You can copy any of the sample pages below. Here's how:

If you are an authorized user, you can simply use Copy Page To Workspace from the Tools menu to copy a pattern into any of your workspaces on this server.
If not, you can:

Click on the page you'd like to go to (e.g. Sam Clemens)
Carefully select all of the content of the page (but not the user interface) and Copy.
Create a new page in your target Workspace. Switch to Simple mode and Paste. Choose a title and Save.
If the page needs attachments, upload the files needed.

How to share sample pages you've created with other Socialtext users (and use theirs too)

In addition to all the pages on this Help page, many customers like you have also uploaded pages they've made to the Socialtext Customer Exchange. You can copy any of the pages you've made there as well. Here's how:

If you are a member of Socialtext Exchange, you can simply login and use Copy Page To Workspace from the Tools menu to copy a pattern from any of your workspaces on this server.
If not, but you are an authorized Socialtext user, you can:

In your own workspace, navigate to the page you'd like to share.
Carefully select all of the content of the page (but not the user interface) and Copy.
Navigate to the Socialtext Customer Exchange, login to your Dashboard, click New Page. Switch to Simple mode and Paste. Choose a title and Save.
If the page needs attachments, upload the files needed.

Use: To create a personal home page for each person. Helpful not only for identifying expertise and interests across the team, but also for giving each person a first page to create and write on in their first introduction to using the wiki.
